When Monica Bellucci was branded ‘an older woman’ in terms of being a Bond girl, Daniel Craig came straight to her defence.

The Spectre actor was being interviewed by The Red Bulletin at the time when he was asked about his 007 role "succumbing to the charms of an older woman".

    Speaking about the 51-year-old Italian actress, Daniel said: "I think you mean the charms of a woman his own age.

    "We're talking about Monica Bellucci, for heaven's sake.

    "When someone like that wants to be a Bond girl, you just count yourself lucky!"

    In the latest Bond film, Monica plays Lucia Sciarra - the alluring widow of an assassin killed by 007.

    Naomie Harris, who plays Moneypenny, recently suggested that the term "Bond girl" is out-dated.

    "Monica is 50 and I think it's respectable to say she's a Bond woman," she told The Independent.

    "It's quite demeaning to call her a girl. So I think it's time we had a little change there."

    Well we think Monica, Lea and Naomie look fab - age has no factor.
