Louis Tomlinson will be joining Simon Cowell during the Judges’ Houses stage of The X Factor. After what seems like months of endless speculation, the news was confirmed to the Mirror newspaper this evening.

The One Direction star has previously been in the frame for a judging role and now it seems he’ll be able to show his boss what he’s worth.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is set to be joined by Jess Glynne, while Nick Grimshaw will be given a helping hand from DJ Mark Ronson. And Rita Ora? She’s all set to be paired with All About That Bass singer Meghan Trainor.

It’s still not been confirmed where all the judges will be taking their helpers – and their groups after it’s decided following the six chair challenge – although it’s believed Chez, Simon and Rita will be taking their contestants somewhere more exotic than Grimmy’s location. Oldham, if you didn’t know.

But what’s wrong with Oldham, eh? We think that would suit just down to the ground. Plus, with all the money they’ve got to spend – they’ll be living it up.
