Poor Niall Horan. Sure, being in the world's most famous boy band must have its perks (travelling the world, meeting adoring female fans... not to mention the pretty healthy pay cheque) but not being able to visit your mum for almost a whole year must be a bit rubbish.
So we felt quite sorry for young Niall when he revealed today that he hasn't been back to his home town of Mullingar in the Republic of Ireland since Christmas. Yes, Christmas. As in December, 2014. 10 months ago! Poor lad.
But Niall can breathe easy now, as he divulged today that he will be having a well earned break at home soon. Taking to Twitter, the singer posted: “Haven't been home since Christmas .. So I'm looking forward to getting home this week to see the fam and the lads ..”
We feel like Niall deserves to put his feet up for a bit as One Direction reach the last leg of their huge 80-date tour On the Road Again, which began in Australia in February and will be finishing up in Sheffield at the end of this month.
Along with the huge amount of drama that the boys have grappled with this year, what with Zayn's dramatic exit from the band and the announcement that Louis will soon become a father, we expect Niall's pretty knackered.
Tbh Niall, we wouldn't blame you if you decided to use your time off to stay in bed and watch Netflix for a week.
