Great news, fans of middle-aged men with big faces – Piers Morgan is joining the Good Morning Britain presenting team permanently.

More news!

Piers previously filled in for Ben Shephard during his holidays back in April and July. But now he’s back to co-host with Susannah Reid three times a week from November.

"I am very excited at the prospect of waking up at 3am every morning, and even more excited by the thought of how annoying Susanna is going to find me after a few months," Piers said.

"Good Morning Britain is a great show with a terrific team on and off screen. I'm looking forward to it enormously."

ITV Director of Daytime Helen Warner said: "We loved having Piers on the show earlier this year, so we're delighted that he's joining us permanently.

"He is an excellent interviewer and a great broadcaster, who fits in brilliantly with GMB's family of presenters."
