Kieron Dyer very nearly quit the I'm A Celebrity jungle last night after an evening of rows between Lady C and the rest of the camp pushed him to breaking point.

A few days of rising tension has left Snake Rock in a very bad way, and most of the ill feeling is aimed at Lady Colin Campbell, who's seen by most of the camp as lazy and bitchy.

Kieron and Chris Eubank are still on her side, which is why Kieron took last night's televised arguments so badly – and told producers he wanted out.

Oh, pet :(
Oh, pet :(

Speaking to Susannah Constantine and Lady C after a huge shouting match in the camp, Kieron suddenly stood up and said: "I'm going, I'm quitting the show."

He then walked into the Bush Telegraph hut and told the cameras, "I want to leave, I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" before packing his bags.

A show insider told The Mirror just how close Kieron was to walking out for good, explaining: "We would have got him back in the Bush Telegraph and suggested he think it over for a few hours but he was packed to go and could have been seconds from leaving if he wanted to and back at the hotel within an hour.

"His mind seemed made up."

Luckily, after a supportive chat with boxer Chris, Kieron decided to remain in the jungle for the sake of his children.

"My greatest challenge in the jungle is yet to come," he said afterwards.

"I'm going to get everyone to love Lady C and I'm going to get Lady C to not curse and not put people down."

Hoooo boy…
