Kelly Brook has unrepentantly defended her right to airbrush her own pictures after Instagram followers called her out for apparently altering her waist.
The model posted an unapologetic message on her page that insisted ‘shopping images is no different to wearing push-up bras and having Botox.
“Depending on camera angles and clothes my size comes in to question a lot,” she pointed out.
“The pictures I post are not unrealistic to who I am. I embrace my curves and love my body.”
So far, so fair enough, right? Well get a load of this:
“Slightly photoshopping pics is no different to women wearing fake hair, putting chicken fillets in their bras, squeezing into Spanx or having filler and Botox in their face. None of which I do.”
Kelly added: “We all want to look our best in pics. So let’s all focus on the positive and be nice to each other. Having your waist smaller makes your curves bigger!!!! I love that and that’s the look I aspire too. Natural and Curvy #CurveGate.”
Aside from the fact that this social media kerfuffle isn’t big enough to warrant a ‘gate’ after it, does Kelly have a point? People like Kim Kardashian and Beyonce are suspected of digitally altering their snaps all the time, but that’s because they’re constantly scrutinised and picked over for any flaws.
Not that Kelly Brook isn’t, buuuuut… isn’t her body pretty effing banging already?
