We already think Ryan Gosling is out of this world (sorry!) and it seems he could be headed for space in his next role.
The actor is apparently first choice to play astronaut Neil Armstrong in an upcoming film by Whiplash director Damien Chazelle.
The movie, titled* First Man*, is still in the very early development stages but according to Deadline, Gosling is already being eyed for the lead role.
The script for the film is being adapted from James Hansen's biography First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong.
In the meantime, Gosling is currently working with on another film, La La Land, with his two-time co-star and our forever girls crush, Emma Stone.
It was also recently announced that Gosling will host Saturday Night Live for the first time on December 5th.
