Nowadays, Calvin Harris is the world’s highest paid DJ and an Armani model with a superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift. So it’s easy to forget that back in 2009, he was only famous for singing Acceptable In The ’80s, sporting a questionable line in sunglasses… and running on to the X Factor stage with a pineapple on his head, while Jedward were performing (because their hairstyles resembled pineapples, apparently).
At the time, Calvin tweeted, “Was just thrown out… sorry if I caused anyone embarrassment. PS. I love Jedward.”

But unlike Mason Noise’s onstage outburst this year (you can read more on that in this week’s heat magazine!), Calvin saying sorry wasn’t good enough for Simon, who gave the DJ a lifetime ban from The X Factor.
In an interview last year, Calvin told heat Radio, “I haven’t been asked to come back – we just have a mutual agreement to stay away from each other.”
But now Calvin’s, well, he’s a multimillionaire DJ and producer and Mr Taylor Swift, Simon has graciously said that he CAN come back on the show. Generous.
