The X Factor’s 4th Impact blast critics of mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s weight

The X Factor’s 4th Impact have hit out at critics of their show mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini who have blasted her for being too thin.

The former Girls Aloud singer has come under fire recently after television viewers and fellow celebrities, such as The Apprentice’s Alan Sugar, have slammed her appearance ever since she appeared to have lost weight when she was pictured on the first day of auditions for the ITV talent contest.

But sibling girl group 4th impact – Celina, Mylene, Irene and Almira Cercado – insist she’s always eating when they see her.

Almira told The Sun: “Cheryl’s always eating. When we eat pizza backstage, she has most of it.

“It’s amazing she’s so thin. I don’t know how she does it but, trust us, we want to know as much as anyone.”

Cheryl has hit out at critics of her weight, telling the London Evening Standard’s ES magazine: “It’s crazy double standards. You’d never be allowed to say to somebody, ‘Oh, you look a bit fat.’

“And being overweight is unhealthy – it’s actually a bad message to tell someone who is obese that they look ‘curvy’ or ‘great’.

"But you know what? After this length of time, there’s nothing I can hear about myself that I haven’t already heard.”
