X Factor favourite Lauren Murray has come clean about her shock exit from the contestants' house, calling it a mix between Big Brother, Glee and prison.

Having moved out last week, the 26-year-old hopeful told The Mirror that having the cameras there all the time was "intense".

"I found the filming the hardest to deal with," she said.

"The camera is there when you wake up, it's there when you go to sleep. I felt like I could never relax. It's intense."

Lauren also slammed the filming process, especially in earlier stages of the competition, saying the Six Chair Challenge in particular was "horrific".

"I was drained," she said of her experience.

"I definitely think they should get rid of Six Chair Challenge. I found it horrific. But they won't – it's too good TV. Imagine if I [had] faint[ed]. Someone would have got a bonus!"

On a roll, Lauren also pointed out the cray-cray nature of filming within the house, saying there's a swimming pool there for the contestants' use, but they're not allowed in it unless there's a lifeguard on duty.

"But they said it was fine for Che to jump in with all his clothes on," she joked.

"They don't care if he drowns, as long as they get the shot."
