Cameron Diaz, who we strongly suspect is all-round excellent, took everyone (us) by surprise when she got hitched in January.
She and her rocker beau, Benji Madden from Good Charlotte, got married at home after six months of dating.
Now, normally we wouldn’t put people’s ages because it’s naff but in this case it’s relevant.
Cameron is 43 and Benji is 36.
So, because of Cameron’s age, and with crushing inevitability, rumours since then have been RIFE about them trying to conceive and the rounds of IVF they are allegedly undergoing.
The latest rumour to reach our ears is that Cameron and Benji are going to try and adopt.
It’s alleged that Cameron’s sort-of sister-in-law (who was married to Benji’s twin brother Joel) Nicole Richie, who was adopted herself, has been advising Cameron on all sorts of things, including how one can bond with a baby that is not genetically one’s own.
Adoption is a wonderful thing and we are absolutely delighted for Cameron, Benji and Baby Diaz if that’s what they’re doing.
But maybe they don’t want kids. And that’s cool too.
