Liam Payne takes the pee out of Niall Horan after One Direction split for break

One Direction caused a mass flood of tears from their fans' eyes after their last performance on The X Factor live final on Sunday night.

The boys are going on a hiatus after five years of hard work together and have been hinting at what they plan to do during their break.

But it didn’t take long for Liam Payne to take a dig at his bandmate Niall Horan – but don’t worry, it’s all in the name of LOLZ.

All members of the band – Liam, Niall, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and former member Zayn Malik – previously auditioned for The X Factor and were put into a group together on the show before going on to have massive success.

After finding fame, 1D fans have repeatedly circulated a tweet posted by Niall which he shared before appearing on the ITV talent show.

He wrote: “Applied for X Factor, hope it all works out.”

Well, yah, it did, and it seems Liam is hoping that copying Niall’s wise words will help him in the future.

Meanwhile, the other lads were more reflective and thanked fans for their support.

Niall wrote: “5 of the best years of our lives so far.. Thank you all so much for your incredible support. I hope you guys realise what you have done for us.

“Can’t thank you enough to be honest... Don’t worry, we’ll be back.. Looking forward to chilling for a while now.”

Louis tweeted: “Well that was an emotional night!! Never can we thank you enough for how special you have made the last five years for us!”

And Harry wrote: “To you, you have changed our lives and no words will ever be good enough to thank you for what we have done together.”
