A controversial live art exhibition depicting the final moments of Jade Goody's life has been heavily slammed by critics today, resulting in the piece being branded "sick", "cheap" and "disgusting". The piece, entitled The Re-enactment of the Death of Jade Goody features actors playing the parts of Jade, Jack Tweed and Jackiey Budden with cardboard boxes over their faces. Artist Mark McGowan has defended his piece, saying, "I understand it's provocative and sometimes that is my aim, to provoke people. I admired Jade and believe she was an artist herself in the way she performed before the media. Many of the spectators at last night's exhibition were very moved by what they saw." Mark has already been accused of jumping on the Jade Goody bandwagon, but he adamantly denies this. What do you think of this hugely controversial piece? Is it acceptable art, or has the artist in this case gone a step too far?
