Britain’s Got Talent stars set for Oprah:
You know you’ve made it when Official Queen of TV, Oprah Winfrey, comes calling at your door – and even more so when you’re the darling of Mr Simon Cowell. Yep, Simon and Oprah are joining forces for a World’s Got Talent special, featuring string quartet Escala, Jacko "tribute" act Signature, and of course the ubiquitous Su-Bo. “Oprah is a huge fan of the Got Talent idea, so she wanted to do something special. She is friends with Simon so thought it would be great to have him on with some of the best acts from around the world. It’s a massive springboard.” All very exciting indeed. The show airs in the US on Monday.
Kate Moss' boyfriend goes missing
Urgent Facebook messages have been posted to track down Jamie Hince, who's been missing since Wednesday night. The Kills rocker and boyfriend of Kate Moss reportedly got into a scuffle on stage in New York on Monday night, hauling a fan onto the stage after he spotted the man's two-finger gesture. The band then played a gig in Montreal, Canada on Wednesday night, and Jamie left aftrwards and has not been seen or heard from since. Jamie's bandmate Alison Mosshart is said to be "very worried" and has posted a message on Facebook urging anyone who's spotted Jamie to get in touch. He is also thought to be in trouble with Kate Moss, after referring to her as Waynetta Slob during a recent holiday. We'll keep you updated as to his whereabouts as and when we hear more.
Moyles: "This Morning will be rubbish without Fern"
Philip Schofield was left looking rather bemused on This Morning yesterday, after radio DJ Chris Moyles told him the show would be "rubbish" without Fern. Chris, who was on the show to discuss his massive listening figures, said to a shocked Pip and Fern, "I know you don't want me to talk about it Fern, but it's not going to be the same without you." He then joked that he'd like to work on This Morning, but would only do so if Fern decided to stay. He also said he won't come back on the show once Fern's left, to which Phillip quickly replied, "Well, that's OK, because you won't be invited." Ooer. While it was all said in jest, you could definitely tell poor Phillip was a little put out by the whole thing. Don't worry Pip, we all think you're amazing!
Corrie is haunted!
Spooky goings on in Coronation Street, it would seem – after stars and staff working on the show fear the set is haunted by a ghost after a series of accidents and "mystery illnesses" striking down cast members. The Corrie studios are actually built on the site of a former cemetery where 22,000 people are buried and, in the past few months, an unknown woman with long brown hair and a long jacket has been spied lurking around the cobbles of Coronation Street. Actress Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, says, “So many people have seen and felt the same things that there has to be something in it.” Oo-er!
