Madonna must be doing cartwheels wherever she is. The star has today been told that she will be allowed to adopt Malawian tot Mercy James. The singer had appealed a decision to block her bid back in April, with her lawyer saying the adoption laws of the country were "outdated". Appeal courts said that the original ruling had not taken into account Madonna's dedication to helping disadvantaged children. Chief justice Lovemore Munlo praised Madonna's interest in helping Malawi orphans and said the child would have a better life with the star. It was also noted that she was financially stable." Mercy's 18-year-old mum died just after giving birth to the tot. She will now have a new life in America, and a new family.

Why on earth did they change their mind? Just because she's in a good financial position doesn't mean that their rules for adoption should be pushed aside for her.

NO WAY! I can't believe this! IT SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ALLOWED - I wouldn't have had a problem with it if she followed the rules like everyone else and lived in the country for the set time
