Amy Winehouse is "in denial" about her booze addiction

Since she’s been hiding out in St Lucia instead of rampaging around Camden, it’s been a bit quiet on the Amy Winehouse front. But helpfully her parents are on hand to keep us up to date with her progress (what would we do without them, eh?). Talking during an interview with ITV news, Janis Winehouse has revealed, “The need to rescue her is enormous. Amy is in denial all the time." While dad Mitch claims that there has been a “remarkable recovery”, although the singer has had some booze-related “backwards steps”. Mitch has also made his feeling about his estranged son-in-law Black Fielder-Civil quite clear; "The option of them being together is too horrible to contemplate. They are going to get divorced and who knows what's going to happen down the line," he said. We must say, for once the man is speaking absolute sense.

I really feel for Amy and her parents. They're all in hell here. I'm just glad she's still clinging on as I honestly thought she was going to die some time ago. There's still hope she'll recover.

I can only imagine what her parents are going through, and I am sorry for them having to watch this but I agree Nwilt, love is not all hearts and flowers, sometimes it can destroy til its too late and all is lost. She is rough as a badgers arse tho.

trouble is i beleive there love is one of those all overpowering types that shuts out everything when they are together, and it's hard for them to be apart, but for both of their own sakes it is better that way

My daughter has the exact same eye make-up as Wino today, she's playing a singer in her school play and looks very alike with the beehive and all. I hope to god she sorts herself out and gets back on track with her music and really ditches Blakey.
