Gay rights group slam 'offensive' Bruno

Gay rights group the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) discovered today that their request for a "tolerance message" to be added to the closing credits of Bruno has been denied. The group argue that the film's stereotypes of gays go too far, with a spokesman explaining, "We have very mixed emotions about the movie. Some are funny and hit their mark but others hit the gay community instead. This movie does not unmask stereotypes. We felt they were laughing at us at times. Sacha Baron Cohen, who turned up wearing this, ahem, interesting bodysuit to promote the film in Berlinthis weekend, has not commented on the complaint, but Universal bosses have replied, saying, "Bruno uses provocative comedy to powerfully shed light on the absurdity of many kinds of intolerance and ignorance, including homophobia." Do you think Bruno is laughing at gay stereotypes? Have a watch of the trailer below to remind yourselves of what it's all about, then tell us what you think.

Do you find Bruno offensive?

Nah, it's hilarious
Yes, it goes a bit far
