Posh becomes latest celeb to piss off PETA

Victoria Beckham has become the latest target of Animal Rights Group PETA – and it's all because of her fondness for designer handbags. Posh is a big fan of design house Hermes, but PETA have recently discovered that the company farms crocodiles in Australia in order to use their skin. A spokeswoman for the group said, "The mere thought of purposely breeding and killing crocodiles for an outdated, overpriced handbag should make any fashionista's skin crawl. We will send Victoria Beckham, a compassionate person who won't wear fur, our undercover footage that shows how alligators and crocodiles are beaten to death and how snakes are nailed to trees and skinned alive for these products." Blimey. VB's official people have yet to comment on the statement, but it's worth PETA bearing in mind that one of Victoria's Hermes handbags was a gift from husband David and is worth over £76,000. We don't imagine she'll give that up anytime soon...

Animals shouldnt be killed for fashion its disgusting! smileyguy what a wank*r you are. I wonder how you would feel being skinned or beaten for someone to parade around in your skin! Its so friggin sick

Oh no! Not the beloved crocodiles being turned into handbags! How terribly tragic....! For goodness sakes, these hippies need to go out and do something constructive with their lives, and stop whining to the press every time they want attention.

I don't like crocodiles or anything made of their skin for that matter. But I do hate the way Peta force their opinions on everyone. They should give people the facts and let them make their own minds up instead of the big guilt trip

yeah bred for it so they have fulfilled their purpose. as long as the animals are killed humanely can't disagree with using their skin for fashion. do you not wear leather shoes?
