Victoria Beckham has become the latest target of Animal Rights Group PETA – and it's all because of her fondness for designer handbags. Posh is a big fan of design house Hermes, but PETA have recently discovered that the company farms crocodiles in Australia in order to use their skin. A spokeswoman for the group said, "The mere thought of purposely breeding and killing crocodiles for an outdated, overpriced handbag should make any fashionista's skin crawl. We will send Victoria Beckham, a compassionate person who won't wear fur, our undercover footage that shows how alligators and crocodiles are beaten to death and how snakes are nailed to trees and skinned alive for these products." Blimey. VB's official people have yet to comment on the statement, but it's worth PETA bearing in mind that one of Victoria's Hermes handbags was a gift from husband David and is worth over £76,000. We don't imagine she'll give that up anytime soon...

i dont think anyone should have the right to kill anything, it doesn't matter wether its a huge whale or a cow the concept is the same. and all these people that care about animals becoming extinct dont care about the animal itself but the loss of

What I want to know is - why is it only PETA having a go at this utterly pointless woman, when the whole world should be booing, jeering and pelting tomatoes at her for owning a £76000 handbag when most of the population live on less than £1.50 a day

and if you are compairing to leather, i take it you are a vegan? a cow is not an exotic animal, endangered, rare. they are a commidity in many countries and are humanly killed and treated in this country very well,

the thing is that many designers use such items like exotic skins/furs/plumes in their high end collections, and even if you buy from their mainline range which doesn't have it you are still infact endorsing a company that uses animal skin
