Michael Jackson's death – more details emerge:
Details about the death of Michael Jackson have continued to filter in overnight, and it has now been confirmed that the 50-year-old star did indeed die after suffering a massive heart attack. It is being reported that the star collapsed shortly after an injection of the powerful painkiller Demerol. His breathing became slow and shallow, and eventually stopped altogether. Staff at his rented LA home tried desperately to resuscitate him, and once he reached the hospital doctors tried everything they could to start his heart. Sadly Michael had already passed away. The LA County Coroner last night confirmed that the star had died of heart failure at 2.26pm local time. Fans have started to gather all over the world to pay tribute, many dressed up like their idol. The news is still sinking in for many, and at the moment it all seems very surreal. We will bring you more updates throughout the day.
Farrah Fawcett loses battle with cancer
Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett also sadly lost her life yesterday after a long battle with cancer. She was 62. The actress, who was a pin-up in the 1970s, had spent three years battling the disease, and had recently began to make video diaries. She died yesterday morning with her long-term lover Ryan O'Neal at her side, at he has since said, "I won't know this world without her. It's a love story." Farrah has been hailed for her bravery towards the end, with close friend Mela Murphy saying, "She looked beautiful. She has left a wonderful legacy."
Jeff Goldblum death rumour denied
An online rumour claiming that the actor Jeff Goldblum had also died yesterday has been vehemently denied this morning. Reports appeared claiming that the actor had died following a fall while filming in New Zealand, and quickly spread all across the world via networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. This morning the star's agent confirmed that the star of films such as The Fly and Jurassic Park is "very much alive" and that the whole thing had been a hoax. Bit of a sick thing to be joking about, isn't it? We're very glad to hear that Jeff Goldblum is alive and well. The poor man must be feeling rather bemused this morning.
Kerry Katona is going on tour
It was announced yesterday that Kerry Katona will be embarking on a new tour, where she will perform pop songs. The gigs will take place at nightclubs all across the UK, with a number of dates also planned in Ibiza. The official press release said excitedly, "The most explosive star in MTV history will lock out your venue with the mention of her name." Lock out? Surely it's more likely that she'd be locked out? The first gig will take place in Milton Keynes in July, and much of the tour will be filmed for her new show. Would YOU go and watch Kerry perform at your local nightclub?

... chance to grieve in peace instead of having to suffer the media invasion that they would have had MJ not passed. Feel gutted for MJ's family. Poor Germaine reading that statement, it was just heart breaking.

Sad sad day. Regardless of what may or may not be said about his personal life, the guy changed the frontiers of music for the entire world and in that sense, he deserves the title of Legend. Poor Farrah but I expect her family are relieved at the...

is olny going to cause more arguments if you want to show your respects then do it but leave others to make comments if they want. personnally i think he was guilty and that will always over shadow his music as it will for alot of other people.
