First look at Ricky Gervais’ new movie!

Ricky Gervais is currently shooting his new movie Cemetery Junction in the UK with Ralph Fiennes, but here’s one he made earlier. The trailer’s just landed for The Invention Of Lying, Ricky’s Hollywood directing debut, about a world where everyone tells the truth – until Ricky’s character discovers the art of fibbing, that is. Based on the trailer, it’s a very funny premise, and boasts a great supporting cast in Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Patrick Stewart, Tina Fey and Rob Lowe. Whether it works equally well over 90 minutes, we’ll find out when it opens in UK cinemas on 2 October.
