BGT's Shaheen hailed as "the next Jacko"
There was barely a dry eye in the house during Michael Jackson's Memorial Concert in LA last night, with emotional performances from Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, Usher, Jermaine Jackson, Lionel Richie, John Mayer and Britain's Got Talent star Shaheen Jafargholi. The teen moved many members of the audience to tears with his rendition of Who's Lovin You, with one viewer saying, "Oh my God! It was like Michael was here!" Shaheen managed to give a perfect performance, and then said a few words about how much he loved Michael Jackson. Surely he's destined to become a huge star in the States after this? The event is thought to have cost the city of LA over $2.5million, and last night the Mayor had set up a website where people could make donations. Did you watch the memorial? What were your thoughts?

Lindsay in trouble over fake-tan theft

More bad news for Lindsay Lohan. Reports this morning claim that the actress is being sued by a chemist over claims she stole the formula for her new Sevin Nyne tanning spray! Lindsay, who has had a somewhat turbulent life of late, and her business partner Lorit Simon are being taken to court in Florida over charges that include theft of trade secrets and civil conspiracy. A lawyer for chemist Jennifer Sunday said, "If Ms Lohan and Ms Simon are profiting from the theft of my clients formula, my client is entitled to those proceeds." The product in contention is named after Lindsay's lucky numbers, and is what she describes as her "sunless secret". Dear, oh dear Lindsay – what's next?

Potter star on trial for growing pot

Harry Potter star Jamie Waylett, who plays Slytherin bully Vincent Crabbe in the hit films, was yesterday charged with growing cannabis plants. While his friends and co-stars braved the rain to greet their their fans at the bif premiere in Leicester Square, 19-year-old Jamie was told he will have to attend court later this month to answer the charges. The teen was stopped by police while driving his car, and after discovering cannabis in his posession they later raided his mother's home in Camden, north London. A police spokesman said yesterday, "He [Jamie] is charged with producing a Class B drug, namely cannabis." Oh dear. We feel a number of Potter-head jokes coming...

More controversy for
Bruno
The new Austrian ambassador Emil Brix is demanding that people boycott Sacha Baron Cohen's latest film, Bruno. The film includes what he describes as "cheap gags" made at the country's expense. The movie sees spoof gay fashionista Bruno joke about Austria's Nazi past and child sex monster Josef Fritzl when he says the "Austrian dream" is to " have a job, find a dungeon and raise a family there". But Emil Brix said, "It is totally inappropriate. Everybody should speak up against that. The public will know how to react to this film." Sacha's films are known for being controversial and have offended countries before. His film Borat offended Kazakhstan massively by claiming people were addicted to horse urine and viewed rape and incest as hobbies. Does Emil have a sense of humour bypass or a good point?
