Groan... Now Peaches is studying Scientology

Now, Peaches Geldof does and says plenty of ridiculous things, but becoming a Scientologist just to improve her social life is surely taking ridiculous to a new level? Well, that’s the latest rumour doing the rounds. Peaches interviewed Katie Holmes last year, and apparently has become totally smitten with the actress, reveals a pal of the party girl. “Peaches was very impressed by Katie, she loved interviewing her and really wanted to become friends with her," says the friend. "She thought that taking up Scientology would be the perfect springboard to work her way into that New York clique. She knows her dad won't be happy about it, but she feels it will help her move into bigger and better celeb circles, so she is willing to keep up with her studies to become a fully fledged Scientologist.” Surely even Peaches isn’t so shallow that she’d embrace a new religion just to get invited to a few parties?
