Peter Andre to sue over infidelity claims:
Peter Andre is reportedly so angry with comments Katie Price made about him yesterday, that he's threatening to sue. The singer is said to be furious at how his estranged wife reacted when asked by Ben Shephard on GMTV if Pete had been faithful. Smiling, she simply said, "Anyway, next question." Pushed by Ben to elaborate, Katie then said, "Well, you know when you split up with someone you hear things, so who knows what's true and what's not." A slightly surprised Ben replied, "Well, I'm sure he's...well, he definitely says he's been faithful." She also made a sly dig about Pete being photographed with the kids, saying, "I'm not doing any media stuff with the kids, because I don't want to do that. But it's good to see that Pete's actually taking the kids out." After seeing the interview, Pete apparently called his lawyers immediately. Oh dear...

Amy: 'I punched fan because she scared me'
Amy Winehouse yesterday told a court she didn't mean to punch a fan in the face, saying she lashed out because she felt "intimidated". The Rehab singer is accused of assaulting dancer Sherene Flash at a charity ball, after the latter asked to have a photo with her. Sherene told the court, "She punched me forcefully in my right eye. I started crying. I was shocked." Amy, however, says she simply pushed her away. Sitting cross-legged in the witness box, Amy told the court, "People are mad these days...just rude and mad. I was very offended by her impatience and rudeness. I was just trying to resist her. I was scared. She's a big girl." Amy went on to say that she's "not Mickey Mouse" but "a human being", and that if she did cause injury then it was an accident. The hearing continues today.

Kate confirmed for Loose Women
Kate Thornton has been confirmed as the newest addition to the Loose Women panel, putting to bed the rumours that Katie Price was being lined up to take on the role alongside Fern Britton. Kate will share the role with ex-weathergirl Andrea McLean when it returns to ITV1 in September. Kate said yesterday, "I am delighted to be joining one of the best teams of TV. I can't wait to get started." Maybe Katie had to turn it down because of her new acting career... Or not.

Judge blasts "cruel" Jeremy Kyle
Jeremy Kyle has found himself the new subject of criticism from a judge, who has blasted his real-life show, accusing it of taking advantage of "foolish and gullible" people. The judge was speaking after sentencing a former guest of the show to two years in jail for assaulting his girlfriend. The 26-year-old had beaten her after they watched the result of a lie detector test taken during their time on the show that revealed Rebecca Langley had been cheating on him. Speaking to the court, the judge said there was "plainly an element of cruelty and exploitation" in the show. It's not the first time Jeremy Kyle has found himself criticised by the justice system. Two years ago another judge described the show as "human bear-baiting".
