She’s already landed herself in a trouble over a series of saucy pictures, but now it seems that Miley Cyrus is keener than ever to shed her clean-cut teen image and re-brand herself as a grown-up star. But was the Teen Choice Awards really the best place to try to do it? Trussed-up in tiny black hotpants and a very questionable fluffy jacket, the 16-year-old looked more like an exotic dancer than a Disney starlet as she wrapped herself round a pole and belted out her new single, Party In The USA. Still, she’s clearly still got her fair share of fans – she picked up an impressive six awards at the celeb-filled bash.

Seriously Heat, I know young children look up to her but that wasnt exactly pole dancing. Maybe a bit of exaggeration. x

my lil sister age 8 looks up to her, miley is her idol and she copys everything she does, including this. this isn't a great message to send to lil kids. think miley needs to realise her audience is 6-14yr old girls on fit teen boys

She's not even pole dancing in that video, just merely holding onto the pole while being pushed along on an upside down Morrisons trolley with a sign saying 'ice-cream' on it.

She may have only been standing next to it, but the issue is also what shes wearing. Lots of children look up to her and try to copy her behaviour- she needs to learn limits.
