We all need people to turn to in times of trouble, but David Gest isn’t the first person who springs to mind when we’re feeling a bit crap. But the former I’m a Celeb star’s been a shoulder to cry on for Amy Winehouse since she headed back to the UK following her extended break in St Lucia, and has even had her round to his pad for dinner. A source says: “David moved into the area a while ago and was introduced to Amy through their mutual mate Matt Willis. Then he kept bumping into Amy and they kept in touch.” The pair have been on trips to the pub together, and David is apparently keen to keep Amy chipper while she struggles to get over her divorce from Blake.
