Sugababes split

Sugababes split – announcement expected today
The Sugababes record company are expected to be releasing a statement today detailing what is really happening to the girl band. Ever since heatworld broke the news on Friday afternoon that Amelle was rumored to be leaving the group and Eurovision star Jade Ewen was going to take her place, all has been very quiet from both camps. Yesterday Keisha was quotes as saying the rumours were not true, but this morning a new source has claimed that all three existing Sugababes have been sworn to secrecy by their label – and that not even their family and close friends know the truth about what's going on. It also emerged today that the Sugababes are all attending the MOBOs – but not as a group. Keisha is there to present an award and Amelle will be performing her solo effort. We will bring you the official statement as soon as it arrives.

Katie Price strips at cage-fighting event
Katie Price celebrated her boyfriend's victory in a fight last night by stripping down to her underwear in the middle of a club. Katie whooped and cheered as Alex Reid battered his opponent, then whipped off her dress and put on another with the word "Champ" embossed onto it. Classy. Alex then invited his famous lady up into the ring with him, where she stuck her fingers up at all the punters who dared to boo. One onlooker said afterwards, "Jordan got in there and gave back what she was getting." Alex won't be smiling as much today, however, as one of his ex-girlfriends has sold a story on him where she's described him as "a total exhibitionist" and suggests that he's only using Katie to progress his own career. Oh dear...

The X Factor beats Strictly in the ratings war
This weekend saw The X Factor battle with Strictly Come Dancing in the ratings – and the ITV show won the day, raking in almost 2 million extra viewers. Despite this, the BBC have said they have no plans to move Strictly to a slot where it won't clash with the ITV giant, with one source saying, "The overlap has clearly not dented the fortunes of either show." Tennis champ Martina Hingis became the first celeb to be voted off the dancefloor, despite being an early favourite. There has also been a massive backlash against new Strictly judge Alesha Dixon, with many viewers demanding she resign and make may for Arlene Phillips to come back. We'll discuss this in more detail shortly.

Robbie to join Take That on stage next month
Robbie Williams has been asked to get back on stage with Take That next month, as the band perform a special charity gig at the Royal Albert Hall. Gary Barlow has reportedly invited Robbie to perform his new single Bodies at the Children In Need extravaganza, and insiders think there's a strong chance he will also join Take That on stage for a song. Robbie himself admitted, "Yes, something is definitely going to happen. Me and Gary have been hanging out a lot lately, talking over things." At the moment nothing has been confirmed, but we're still VERY excited about watching Robbie back on stage with Take That!
