Mischa's Barton's new show has been axed already

Mischa Barton's new show The Beautiful Life has been axed – after just two shows. The series, in which the troubled OC actress had taken the lead role, was dropped after disappointing viewing figures and replaced by re-runs of Melrose Place. Oh dear. It's yet another blow for Mischa, who was hoping the show would provide a good platform from which to relaunch her ailing acting career. She had previously said of the show, "The fashion world is something I don’t think anyone’s ever examined in a really realistic way, and I thought this show would be a good fit for me because I get to play a real character, and a lot of people associate me with fashion like I’m a fashion icon already." Fashion icon maybe, acting icon maybe not. Poor old Mischa...
