David Beckham is turning into an American!

Victoria Beckham isn't the only lady with her hand in the fashion-industry pocket, her husband David has also helped to design a range of sportswear for Adidas, and this is a little video of him talking all about it. Now, we love David Beckham with his gorgeous eyes and slightly shy manner, but we're not happy that he seems to have adopted some blatantly American vocabulary. He refers to the trainers as "sneakers", the trousers as "pants" and even uses the word "sweats" to describe a tracksuit! We know the family Beckham been living over in LA for a while now, but he did spend the first 30-odd years of his life in England! Still, as you look so cute in your tracksuit (not sweats), we'll forgive you this once.

if an american person came over here said something about pants, we would think thye were referring underwear, so they adapt and say trousers...is this really news????

just like a few people have already pointed out, he's adapting because he's advertising in America, this is what american people say. thats like saying when u go on holiday and spk the native language ur 'trying to be' spanish/greek etc.lol

I grew up in America, but have adapted certain words to the English vocabulary since I now live here. And since he was promoting these things for an American market, surely he'd want to use the words their familiar with!
