Matt Lucas' ex-husband found hanged:
The ex-husband of comedian Matt Lucas was found hanged at his home yesterday, after allegedly leaving a suicide note on his Facebook page. Kevin McGee, who was 32, married Matt in a civil ceremony in 2006, but the couple split 10 months ago. Sources are claiming that Kevin had issues with drugs – mainly cocaine – and it was this that drove the couple apart. Kevin left a message on his Facebook which read: "Kevin McGee thinks that death is much better than life." Worried friends then called the police and they eventually broke into his flat and discovered him hanged. Matt was last night being comforted by friends – including his Little Britain co-star David Walliams – and he is said to be "utterly destroyed" by the tragic news. One friend explained, "He always loved Kevin despite their differences and their difficult marriage." heatworld's thoughts are with Matt and Kevin's friends and family at this sad time.
Russell Brand "in love" with Katy Perry
Russell Brand admitted yesterday that he thinks he's falling in love with new girlfriend Katy Perry. The famous couple, who are still doing their best to keep their relationship under wraps, have already had a holiday together in Thailand. Russell admitted yesterday, "I think I'm in love." However, he would not comment further on his new lady, saying coyly, "I don't think I should be drawn on that." Katy herself is currently in Paris for Fashion Week, but friends say she is also keen on Russell and isn't letting his ladies' man reputation put her off. Good luck to them, we say.
Amy Winehouse to sing on Strictly
It's been a while since Amy Winehouse has appeared on TV – probably because the show's bosses were terrified what she's get up to – but she's now confirmed that she will appear on Strictly Come Dancing. However, Amy will only be on stage as a backing singer for her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield, who is only 13. The teenager said of her plans, "Amy and I both love Strictly. I watch it every Saturday, so it was brilliant to find out I'll be on TV for the first time singing on one of my favourite shows." We've been hearing lots of good things about young Dionne, so we can't wait to see how she gets on – and to see if Amy gets up to anything, naturally.
Robbie will NOT be touring for new album
Robbie Williams is one of the most-wanted men in music at the moment, but he's decided that doing another tour is not a good idea. "I cannot imagine touring in the near future," he confessed. "I know it's harder than I am." Last time Robbie attempted a tour he ended up in rehab after suffering what he describes as a "nervous breakdown", and was forced to cancel the Asian leg of his tour. Thank God his BBC Proms gig is going to screened all over the world. And thank God we managed to get some tickets!
