David Beckham almost became a rap star!

While David Beckham may be a rather good footballer, somehow we can’t imagine Mr Posh as a rap star. But, terrifyingly, that very thing nearly happened. Becks was all set to record a new version of John Barnes’ dreadful rap from World In Motion a few years back, but his foray into music was halted after Ant and Dec pipped him to the post. New Order star Peter Hook revealed to football website Channelbee.com: “We were going to re-record World In Motion and Tony had arranged for Beckham to do Barnes’ rap. I don’t know what it would have been like, but it couldn’t have been any worse than Gazza’s version. We were all set to do it again with Keith Allen… But the FA called up and said Beckham couldn’t do it because Ant and Dec were going to do it.” Phew.
