X Factor Lucie left furious after Joe smacks her in the face

A major spat broke out over at The X Factor this weekend after Joe accidentally threw a tambourine into Lucie's face during rehearsals. Poor Joe was mortified and immediately rushed over to say sorry, but a shocked Lucie snapped at him, "Ouch! What the hell did you do that for? It really hurt!" Poor Lucie was later forced to cover her emerging bruise with extra make-up, and she was still angry with a apologetic Joe hours after it happened. "Poor Lucie was smacked square in the nose," says an X Factor insider. "She looked very miffed, even though Joe obviously didn't mean it." The word is that things are becoming increasingly tense in the X Factor house as the competition heats up, and all the contestants are feeling the pressure. Lucie was in tears after Simon branded her an "actress" on Saturday's show, and Danyl was described as looking like "a broken man" after narrowly making it through to next week. Oooh, we do love all the drama. Who do YOU think gave the best performance this weekend?

Update: OK, so apparently it was Rachel who accidentally threw the tambourine. Who could have confused her with Joe? His hair is about a third the size!
