It’s not just the winner of this year’s X Factor who’ll get to make an impression on the charts by releasing a single, all of the contestants will lend their voices to a charity single for Great Ormond Street Hospital. The 12 finalists have covered the Michael Jackson classic You Are Not Alone, and they’ll be performing the song during the results show on Sunday 15 November, when the track will also be available for download. X Factor boss Simon Cowell explained, “Following last year's record we made with the X Factor finalists in aid of Help For Heroes, we decided we wanted to do something annually on the show to help good causes. This year we chose to work with Great Ormond Street to help raise funds and awareness for their incredible work. I'm very proud of the single and I really hope it raises an enormous amount of money for people who really need our help." Right, we’re off to pre-order our copy now.

The music charts are actually now a joke. Everyone knows this song will make number one, as will most likely the xfactor winners single be xmas number 1. The charts are actually pathetic now. Doesn't really prove great songs anymore :(
