John & Edward on The X Factor

John & Edward are officially the top act on X Factor:
We admit, we all thought Louis Walsh had gone a bit loopy when he put twins John & Edward through to the X Factor live shows, but he's proved 100 per cent that he was right about them. John & Edward officially got the most votes on this weekend's X Factor, leaving popular acts like Stacey Soloman and Olly Murs trailing behind. Now the show's insiders are preparing themselves for a JEdward victory, and everyone is worried what Simon Cowell will do if the astonishing happens. "If John & Edward win, it will no longer be a show about great singers," said one insider. "It could be disastrous. It would be Simon Cowell's worst nightmare." John & Edward's hilarious routines and obvious roles as the show's underdogs has guaranteed them a place in the hearts of the viewers – but can they, and should they, win the show? Tell us what you think.

Simon has a rant at Cheryl and Dannii

With Jedward gaining popularity by the week and his act poor Danyl Johnson stuck in the bottom two, it's not surprising that Simon Cowell was in a bit of a bad mood this weekend. However, rather than take it out on the acts, the head judge allegedly let rip at Dannii and Cheryl, accusing them of spending too much time getting themselves perfect. One insider snitched, "Simon told them it's a talent show, not a fashion show. He wants them to spend less time in front of the mirror and more time concentrating on their acts." Cheryl came under fire last week after axed contestant Rikki Loney admitted that his mentor had been so worried about her own performance that she barely had time for him, Lloyd or Joe. Who do you think has been the best dressed out of Cheryl and Dannii so far? We bet they secretly want to know...

Gordon Ramsay gets cosmetic surgery

Gordon Ramsay has admitted using fillers to smooth out the trademark deep lines on his face, because Simon Cowell told him it would help his career take off in the States. The ranty chef admitted, "My mother said they were smile lines. I could deal with it at 21, but not 42. I had a filler put under my deep crevices. It hurt." The star will have to go through the agonising procedure at least three times a year if he wants to maintain the look, experts have warned – but we're sure a tough guy like Gordan can take a bit of pain. Still, we must say we didn't think there was anything wrong with his face in the first place.

Matt Lucas takes a break from TV

Matt Lucas has decided to take a total break from all TV work in the wake of his former husband's suicide. The Little Britain star is still recovering from the devastating news that Kevin McGee hanged himself earlier this month, and understandably can't face any cameras at the moment. Matt was in the process of making his West End stage debut at the time of Kevin's death, but he has now officially pulled out of the performance with no plans to return. We agree he should take as much time as he needs.
