Cindy Crawford, "I look too healthy to be a model"

Cindy Crawford has sparked a new debate about size-zero models today, by claiming she would never make it as a supermodel if she was starting her career now. "I would not have become a supermodel in 2009," she admitted to German magazine Bunte. "I look too healthy!" Asked what she meant by "healthy", Cindy replied, "A body like mine with big breasts, normal thighs and toned upper arms would not be tailored for today's runway." It's certainly true that you see far more waif-like models than curvy models on the catwalk nowadays, but it's hard to imagine someone as gorgeous as Cindy Crawford being refused a slot, isn't it? If we look anywhere near as amazing as Cindy in our 40s, then we'll be very happy. Do you think she has a point about models looking unhealthy, or is it just a trend we shouldn't all get worked up about?

The point is that with 90s supermodels, it became about the models and not the clothes. Who would have noticed what Cindy Crawford was wearing before they noticed that body?! Today, the girls on the catwalk are like wire hangers.

I guess that shows that old line about models needing to be skeletal to make the clothes look good isn't true. Well unless they reckon the clothes looked rubbish on the original supers but that ain't true.

She's right, I came across an old issue of Vogue the other day, her and the original Supers all looked like Amazons. Girls modelling today they look like they've just got out of a concetration camp next to them.

Cindy Crawford was amazing in her heyday, and is just as gorgeous now as she was then. I see what she is saying, she probably wouldn't be considered super model material nowadays because she is not stick thin, a sad fact. Why can't I look like her?!

shes far more attractive then todays models. Miranda kerr was in a magazine the other day and she looks like hse lost loads of weight off her already skinny bod
