John & Edward at the Christmas Carol premiere

Jedward set to cost bookies £20million!
The X Factor's John and Edward Grimes are now so popular, that bookies are fearing they may lose up to £20milion if the pair go on to win the show. One punter has even bet £10,000 that the twins will win, and their odds have been slashed from an unlikely 150/1 to just 4/1. Last night, at the premiere for A Christmas Carol in London's Leicester Square, stars such as Jim Carrey and Peter Andre failed to make the same impact Jedward did when they arrived with the rest of the X Factor contestants. The crowd literally went crazy. Even Tory leader David Cameron has admitted he's hooked on them. It's official: the UK's caught Jedward fever – and we love it!

Danny Dyer's cars stolen from his driveway

Danny Dyer yesterday admitted he was at his "lowest point", after thieves stole two cars from the driveway of his Essex home. The theft happened while Danny, his girlfriend Jo and their two daughters were sleeping, leaving them all "shaken". Danny awoke to find his Porsche and Mercedes both missing from the front of his gated home, saying afterwards, "It's the lowest point of my life. I've never felt like this before. My 13-year-old is really upset and scared. She feels unsafe in her own home. I feel I've let them down as a father." Poor Danny. heatworld actually caught up with the actor yesterday evening for a chat about his new DVD Danny Dyer's Football Foul-ups, and he was back to his smiley self by then. Police found the Porsche abandoned close to the actor's home, and Danny later joked, "Luckily, I'm lazy and I didn't fill it up, so they probably just panicked and dumped it."

Westlife Nicky "devastated" by father's death

Poor Nicky Byrne from Westlife was left devastated yesterday after his father collapsed and died from a heart attack. The 60-year-old, who was also called Nicky, died before paramedics could get to him. Nicky has said in the past that his dad is "my best friend in the world" and this tragedy has hit him really hard. One friend said last night, "Nicky is distraught. It's a huge shock. He and his dad were very close." Poor Nicky. We're sending him lots of love.

Joe Swash declared bankrupt

Former EastEnders actor Joe Swash was declared bankrupt yesterday after failing to pay a £20,000 tax bill. The winner of last year's I'm A Celeb... heard the news as he boarded a plane over to Australia for the new series of the jungle-based show. However, his agent last night claimed that he was planning to battle the ruling, explaining, "Joe has not been around to sort this out. The bankruptcy should never have gone through. He's not in financial difficulty – he's fine!" Oh dear, poor Joe. He must have a celeb friend or two who could lend him the £20k, surely?
