Davidson kicked off Hell’s Kitchen for homophobic comment
Jim Davidson has been kicked off Hell’s Kitchen following a row with fellow contestant and former Big Brother winner Brian Dowling. Gay Brian was visibly upset when Jim Davidson said of a restaurant guest, “Why do shirtlifters pull that same face?” When Brian challenged his use of the derogatory term, the "comedian" hit back, “I don’t care. Gay men have the same look.” Davidson later accused Brian of playing the “homophobic card” and was called into a meeting with Hell’s Kitchen bosses, during which they asked him to leave the show. Too bloody right, the stupid, out-dated git.
Hamster’s car crash
Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond has been involved in a ANOTHER high-speed car crash a year after surviving the infamous 288mph crash which nearly killed him. The 38 year-old – dubbed the hamster by friends – was racing at Silverstone during a segment for the show when he slammed into a barrier doing over 100mph. Thankfully the star was left uninjured by the smash, and was soon back behind the wheel following emergency repairs to the £100,000 BMW DTi Sport. You'd think he'd have learnt his lesson by now and invest in a nice little Nissan Micra or something...
Madonna plans religious pilgrimage
She’s always had a fondness for doing things a little differently, and now Madonna is embarking on a truly unique summer holiday. While most of us are content with two weeks dancing on a rock in Ibiza, the Queen of pop is instead taking her family over to Israel on a mass Kabbalah pilgrimage. The ten-day study tour (yikes, had flashback to school trip then), which coincides with the Jewish New Year, will see about 2,000 pilgrams take part in lessons and visits to holy sites. Showbiz pals Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher will also join her Madgesty. Sounds like a right barrel of laughs…
Kylie makes TV comeback!
Pop Princess Kylie Minogue will make her TV comeback this November on Children In Need. The pint-sized starlet, who’s recently completed her new album – the first since winning her battle against breast cancer, will perform live on the BBC show. A BBC spokesman said last night, “We’re so chuffed. Kylie’s presence will really elevate this year’s show.” Welcome back Kyles, we’ve really missed you.
