Britney turns herself in to police

Another day, another drama for La Spears. Britney handed herself in to police yesterday and was booked on charges of hit and run, following misdemeanours in September which included one count of hit and run causing property damage and one count of driving without a Californian licence. The troubled star walked into the Van Nuys Valley station at 9.25pm LA time and was finger-printed, questioned and photographed (we'll bring you that picture the second we have it). On this occasion she was spared being held in a cell because she was polite and courteous to officers, but her charges hold a maximum jail term of six months, so Britney could well be facing the same fate as her pals Paris and Nicole.
