Britney has lipo?
Train wreck pop star Britney Spears has reportedly undergone £6,000 worth of liposuction to tone up her thighs and stomach – undergoing five hours of surgery for the procedure. The troubled star was devastated at seeing her out-of-shape figure at the MTV awards back in September and wanted to take action to get her body back. A friend revealed, "It was to remove flab on her stomach and cellulite on the back of her thighs. She said it was a bargain and that she should have done it sooner."
Amy's tour manager quits
Amy Winehouse's tour manager has sensationally quit – claiming doctors found heroin in his system after he inhaled it passively on their bus. Thom Stone said working with Amy was damaging his health. This comes just a day after the singer went into meltdown at a live gig in Birmingham, stumbling over her words and insulting fans. Stone hit breaking point when Amy, 24, and husband Blake Fielder-Civil were arrested with cannabis in Norway last month. He allegedly produced a doctor’s note in front of them which revealed traces of heroin. Last night, Stone would not comment on the doctor’s note, but confirmed he had quit. A source said, “He was watching them get off their heads on drugs and wondering whether Amy was even going to get up on stage. It was a nightmare job.” But a pal of Amy’s said, “When he produced this note, Blake and Amy thought it was a joke. They didn’t get on with Thom and were taking the p*** when he tried to pull that excuse to leave. They wanted rid of him anyway.”
Shayne slams X Factor contestants
Shayne Ward has said exactly what he thinks of this year’s batch of X Factor contestants – and it’s fair to say, he’s not particularly impressed by the quality of their singing. “I think Rhydian will win – he’s the only one of them who can really sing,” he says. “I like Beverley. She seems such a nice person and has a good voice. And you’ve got five good looking girls in Hope who can put on show.” Hmm… wonder how Shayne would fare against that lot if he did it all over again?
Howard's back!
Howard Donald was back on form last night after rejoining Take That on stage at a Birmingham gig. Three weeks ago he was hospitalised after suffering a collapsed lung when an acrobatic dance routine went wrong. Howard made light of the event, joining the lads on stage briefly in a hospital gown and nurses outfit at recent shows in Germany. But he said last night, “I am so happy to be back in the UK. I am going to take part in some dancing. The doctor said it would be OK.”
