Amelle from Sugababes has spoken out about the horrific Christmas Eve attack that left her boyfriend fighting for his life. As we reported yesterday, Freddie Fuller was attacked with a machete outside a bar in Aldershot, Hampshire, and his injuries were so severe that doctors initially thought they would be forced to amputate his arm and leg. “I haven’t slept since it happened,” says Amelle. “I think I’m still in shock. It’s awful to see him lying there so still, with his face so pale and his limbs all bound up. I watch every flicker of his eyes to see how he’s doing and he seems to be getting a bit stronger.” It’s also emerged that Amelle had been out with Freddie on Christmas Eve, but had gone to a different bar with her sisters when the attack happened. Police believe they know who the attacker is and are searching for a 28 year old man. 

 

 

Unbelievably, sources in the US are claiming that pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears’ long-term boyfriend Casey Aldridge isn’t the father of her baby and are pointing the finger at a much older TV executive. “Casey is being paid off to be the family’s fall guy while the real father remains unidentified,” insists one US gossip mag. According to the report, the man works at 16 year old Jamie Lynn’s TV show Zoey 101 and could face statutory rape charges if he was revealed as the father of her baby. In the Spears’ home state of Louisiana, a 16 year old can legally have sex with someone less than than two years older than her – which, somewhat conveniently, would put 18 year old Casey in the clear by a few days. Sounds like this one’s just going to get messier and messier…

 

 

Bad news for Paris Hilton – her rather wealthy grandfather has decided to donate most of his riches to charity. Barron Hilton plans to give a whopping 97 per cent of his £1.2 billion fortune to his charitable foundation which supports projects providing clean water in Africa, education for blind children and housing for the mentally ill – and no, before you ask, Paris doesn’t fall under that category. Yet. Unfortunately, this probably means we’ll be inundated with even more Paris-branded tat as she attempts to earn enough money to keep her in pink velour until she goes to the big Barbie mansion in the sky.

 

 

Rhydian Roberts reckons he’s pleased he didn’t win The X Factor, because he thinks Leon’s single When You Believe – currently at number one – is rubbish. “I don’t particularly like the song,” says not at all bitter Rhydian. “But I didn’t like my version either. I’m glad I didn’t win and release the song as my rendition would have got slated.” Mariah Carey will be spinning in her grave. Oh hang on, she’s still alive, isn’t she?
