Jodie Marsh’s husband Matt Peacock has lifted the lid on the breakdown of their brief marriage – and says Jodie lied to him, MTV and the public about their relationship. Matt says he and Jodie were in a serious relationship for two months before she persuaded him to audition for Totally Jodie Marsh: Who’ll Take Her Up The Aisle? “I’d never fallen for a girl like I did with Jodie,” reveals Matt in the new issue of More magazine. “She kept telling me MTV knew I was her boyfriend and it was all a set-up. I wasn’t sure about it but I ended up agreeing to do it. I was really in love with Jodie and wanted to make her happy.” But after the pair married on TV in September, things started to go wrong. “She used to create arguments about absolutely anything,” he says. And it was when MTV confronted them that Matt realised Jodie had lied to him. “They said they’d found out it was a sham,” he reveals. “I was livid Jodie had lied to me, and them. I honestly thought they knew we were together before the audition.” Hmm… so much for romance, eh?
