Lily explains why audience walked out of her show

Lily Allen has used her ever-feisty Myspace blog to explain what really happened during the filming of her new TV show. It was widely reported that a third of the audience walked out of the recording of Lily Allen And Friends because the show was so bad – but she says this isn’t quite the case. “My TV show recording went really well on Friday. I was shitting it, but I'm really happy with the results,” she writes. “Our guests Cuba Gooding Jnr and David Mitchell were fabulous and the audience were great too. Standing in a hot studio for two hours watching me fluff my lines is not my idea of fun, but they seemed to enjoy it.” She went on to mention the newspaper reports that “insinuated a third of the audience left because they were bored of the content of the show, when in fact, due to it being the FIRST show we've done we ran over a little and naturally a small number of the audience had to catch the last trains back to wherever they came from.” Will you be tuning in to see what all the fuss is about when Lily Allen And Friends starts tonight on BBC3 at 10.30pm?
