Police drop Amy as suspect in Blake case

Newsflash: Amy Winehouse is no longer a suspect in connection with the police investigation into husband Blake and a perversion of justice. Blake was charged with GBH and then an attempt to pervert the course of justice after he allegedly offered to "pay off" the victim of the GBH last year – and Amy was brought in for questioning and then released on bail. Read the press release in full below:

"Police will be taking no further action against Amy Winehouse in connection with their ongoing investigation into an allegation of an attempt to pervert the course of justice. Amy was released on police bail and was due to return to the police station, but will now no longer be required. Police have confirmed that she is no longer a suspect in the case after interviewing her in December. Amy is pleased to be discounted from the investigation and thanks the police for their professionalism in their dealings with her."
