It’s true. Patrick Swayze has got cancer:
Patrick Swayze has today confirmed that he has pancreatic cancer. The 55-year-old actor is currently undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with the disease in January. Patrick, who became heatworld’s first ever big crush after his part in the iconic film Dirty Dancing, has released a statement saying that he greatly appreciates the outpouring of support and concern he has received from his fans. All our thoughts are with you, Patrick.

Inside Brooklyn’s 9th birthday party
Do you remember your 9th birthday party? Ours was a dinner at Pizza Hut, complete with those lovely helium balloons and much Ice-Cream-Factory mayhem. Fun, yes. Glamorous, no. But then, we aren’t Brooklyn Beckham, and our parents aren’t two of the globe’s biggest megastars. Brooklyn celebrated turning 9 – we know, we can’t believe he’s that old, either! – at a swanky Mexican restaurant in LA with his mum and brothers. The three boys, Brooklyn, Romeo and the super-cute Cruz were allowed to play their own music, and after lunch they treated their guests to a spot of break-dancing! When we say guests, we don’t mean a gaggle of little boys running around like bullets out of a gun, we mean, erm, Eva Longoria and Heidi Klum. We don’t know about you, but we would have been miffed at our 9th birthday party if our mum invited a load of her friends. Still, at least it gives Brooklyn something to brag about in the playground.

Louis slams X Factor drama
X Factor judge Louis Walsh has had his say on new ITV drama Rock Rivals, saying, "They've managed to mess it up completely. There's far more drama on The X Factor in any week than there's likely to be in this whole series." Louis, who spent a day on the set of Rock Rivals only to be cut out, blasted the show as "awful" adding, "I was annoyed, but now I've seen it I'm glad that I ended up on the cutting-room floor. It could have been so funny and real but it isn't... Rock Rivals just isn't good enough...With the real thing you have more action, more drama and a lot more talent." Louis has even given his opinion in the three judges acting abilities and while Michelle Collins (Karina) and Gary Cooke (Vernon) come out pretty well, Sean Gallagher who plays Mal does not. Louis' verdict: "Not very well acted. If he is modelled on Simon Cowell, there is a problem." Oh dear.

Alesha’s got a new boyfriend!
Alesha Dixon is dating, wait for it, footballer John Carew. No, we’ve never heard of him either, but as long as it’s not Harvey then we’re gonna celebrate it. The singer has been on a string of dates with the Aston Villa striker and the pair have been spotted at a number of restaurants in recent weeks. This is the first love interest for Alesha since she caught her husband Harvey cheating on her with Chavine Javine Hylton. A friend revealed, "She deserves to be with someone nice after what she's been through. She's so lovely and lights up every room she walks into. It's great she's found someone who makes her smile." We predict good things and lots of happiness for Leesh.
