Poor Patrick

Like all of you I was absolutely gutted to hear the news about Patrick Swayze this morning. Although as heat's News Editor Hannah Fernando told us on today’s diet Coke Break, while the situation is still very serious, thankfully it's not as hopeless as we'd first been led to believe.

I don't know about you, but Patrick was a major part of my teens and my Dirty Dancing DVD continues to be a permanent fixture in my life today. It's weird because you kind of feel you know him, don't you? And if the worst happens it'll be almost like losing one of the family. All we can do is keep everything crossed for him and his family and hope that the doctors can work a miracle! In other news, I'm really chuffed to have Bo’ Selecta's Keith Lemon on the show next week talking about his new ITV2 show, plus Lemar and heat Radio's own Ben Shephard ahead of their Sports Relief Boxing Match – may the best man win – eh, Ben?

Also thanks for all your hen night suggestions, which came into studio@heatworld.com this week. It's my hen do this Saturday and I've passed them onto my "Best Woman". I hope she takes the hints about fireman strippers and feathery veils! Oh, and I sooooooo want L-plates. Will post up some "tasteful" pics next week!
