I'm so glad Gavin & Stacey's back

I'm so glad Gavin and Stacey is back on TV.

About a year ago I had a call from a press lady at the BBC asking me to have the writers of this new comedy about this boy from Billericay and the relationship he has with this girl from Wales on my show.

I didn't think much to the idea but agreed only to have Gavin and Stacey in, not realising that the real stars are James Corden (Smithy) and Ruth Jones (Ness).

She persuaded me to have James and Ruth on instead and I reluctantly agreed. It was only when I'd seen previews of the first 2 episodes that I realised not only how funny the show is but how well acted and how brilliantly written it is.

James and Ruth had never written anything before and were fantastic guests. I'm sure that before long it'll be on BBC1. If you've never seen it, make sure you do. BBC 3 Sunday nights.

By the way Matt Horne is a big Spurs fan as is Gavin the character he plays, so that always helps!
