The cast and crew behind Gavin & Stacey haven’t just got their double Bafta triumph to celebrate today – they’ve also just found out that the show is set to move to BBC1. The first two series of the show became a cult hit on BBC Three, but thanks to rave reviews, their Bafta win and a whole lot of word-of-mouth, it’s now the hottest show on TV and will be moved to big old BBC1 when the next series starts. “Now that the show is established, it feels like the right time,” says writer and star Ruth Jones. Yay, now we can watch G&S on the crappy old TV in the bedroom, rather than fighting over the digital remote and prime sofa spot!
