US TV star Miley Cyrus has been forced to apologise to her fans after posing for topless photos – at the age of 15 (yikes)! The Hannah Montana actress has done an “artistic” photoshoot for Vanity Fair – but it’s caused ripples of shock across the US. “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” says the star, who is huge in the US. “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologise to my fans who I care so deeply about.” However, it seems Miley can’t win – now Vanity Fair are angry with her furious back-peddling. “Miley's parents and/or minders were on the set all day,” they said. “Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley.” The journalist who wrote the feature has also spoken out. “I think it’s really artsy,” he said. “It wasn’t in a skanky way.” Artsy? Skanky? We LOVE that this is how Vanity Fair journalists speak! Hmm, what do you think? Storm in a teacup or wrong, wrong, wrong?

Can't believe Billy Rae let her do this. Everyone involved should have known better even if it is an artistic shot. She still gets her kit off for it

Haven't seen the pictures but exactly why were Vanity Fair trying to get a 15yr old girl to pose topless anyway?! I know it's meant to be 'art' and everything but come on!

I think her parents were wrong to allow their daughter to be sexualised in this way - I know a lot of kids do have sex at this age but I think it's wrong to promote it, especially because her Disney show appeals to kids much younger than her.

i just saw it and yeah i think its very wrong but i also think she was kinda manipulated by the photographer ect. She is only 15! Also in the interview she was mature & sensible so i don't think her childhood is paticulary over yet. But still sick!
