US TV star Miley Cyrus has been forced to apologise to her fans after posing for topless photos – at the age of 15 (yikes)! The Hannah Montana actress has done an “artistic” photoshoot for Vanity Fair – but it’s caused ripples of shock across the US. “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” says the star, who is huge in the US. “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologise to my fans who I care so deeply about.” However, it seems Miley can’t win – now Vanity Fair are angry with her furious back-peddling. “Miley's parents and/or minders were on the set all day,” they said. “Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley.” The journalist who wrote the feature has also spoken out. “I think it’s really artsy,” he said. “It wasn’t in a skanky way.” Artsy? Skanky? We LOVE that this is how Vanity Fair journalists speak! Hmm, what do you think? Storm in a teacup or wrong, wrong, wrong?

you have to wonder about the motivations of the people who suggested it dont you? I mean why do they want a child to be exposed in that way? Why does she need to have her top off? Her parent are clearly after the dough!

I'm sorry, but fuck 'artsy' - she's FIFTEEN!!! There's no place in this world for pics of 15-yr-olds with their tops off - artsy or otherwise. & yes, I've seen the photos.

i think if its for a fashion mag its okay - its not in a sexual way, its not like she was posing for nuts or anything!! plenty of models in fashion mags are 15 or 16 and they might not be wearing underwear or whatever, its depends innit.
