Amy: “Blake is still my man”
In a rare "interview" (oh, OK, she spoke briefly to a photographer), Amy Winehouse has revealed she is NOT divorcing husband Blake Fielder-Civil and they are still very much together. This comes just days after it was revealed she has been getting cosy with her manager’s aide Alex Haines. Looking visibly upset on her doorstep in Camden, the troubled singer shouted, "Why don't these people who say I want a divorce just shut up and stop making up things about me? I'm just waiting and waiting to get my Blake back. I'm supporting him all the way and I always have done. Me and Blake are meant for each other, he's my man." Speaking to paparazzi outside her house she went on, "The summer's come and I can't wait to get my Blake back... You've seen us together – and you know how much we're in love with each other. We're gonna be together forever. Can you tell the people at the papers to stop writing lies after lies after lies. We're not splitting up, I don't have a new boyfriend, I'm totally in love with Blake and I'll be going to court with him every single day to support him throughout his case. I couldn't be happier." But while Amy defends her relationship, reports have also emerged that instead it's Blakeincarcerated that's setting the divorce wheels in motion – seeking £3million in a divorce settlement. Apparently he's told his lawyers he wants £250,000 for every month of their year's marriage. A friend of jailed Blake said, "At first Blake refused to believe Amy had dumped him, but his initial devastation has been replaced by rage. He said Amy owes everything to him – he inspired her music and saved her life. As a result of Amy his life will never be the same again and he wants to make her compensate him." Lorks.
Becks becomes kids TV star
The Beckhams’ bid to take over America continues – with David Beckham appearing on hit kids’ TV show Sesame Street (altogether now: “Why don’t you get yourself a treat… on Sesame Street”). Following in the famous footsteps of Robert De Niro, REM and, er, James Blunt who’ve all been on the show, Becks was invited to appear by producers and filmed an episode last week where he had to introduce new word “persistence” to Elmo (you know, the little red furry one). A source said: “David has always been a huge fan of the show. When he was a kid he watched it, like a lot of people, and knew all the characters. He was more than happy to go on. He had a great time filming it.” Annoyingly, we won’t be able to see the version on British TV as we get a different, edited version apparently. Thank God for YouTube, eh? As we can’t wait to see the cute little muppet doing his thing on TV. Oh, and Elmo of course. *Guffaw.* Sorry...
More details emerge about Kris Marshall accident
Actor Kris Marshall is said to be doing well – after a horrific accident put him in intensive care. Kris, famous for his part in Love Actually as well as My Family, was left lying on the pavement motionless and admitted to intensive care with head injuries, but is now doing so well he's expected to leave hospital by the end of the week. Kris was enjoying a night out with friends in Bristol when he was struck by a car. An eyewitness said, "He was sprawled in the road, not moving. It looked fatal. There was a real commotion and lots of people were milling around. It looked very serious." Get well soon, funny man!
Gwyneth on her new look
Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken out about her glamourous new makeover and new-found happiness following her three-year career break. For the last few weeks, while the Oscar-winning actress has been promoting new film Iron Man, we’ve all gasped at the dramatic new style she’s been adopting. Gone are the frumpy outfits and sad face, Gwyn instead has been the picture of happiness with a shorter new do and sexier style. “I suppose it’s a comeback in a way because I definitely was hibernating for a while and I feel that now I am coming back into the world,” she said in a new interview. “It’s nice to come back and feel that people are somewhat pleased that I have,” she continues. “A lot has changed in my life.” Gwyneth goes on to say how she owes the new outlook to the career break she took while having her children Apple and Moses. “I made the mistake of working too much and it turned out to be really the wrong thing. I just had a lot of life in 10 years. I got to about 29 and I was absolutely exhausted and I decided to take some time off.” Well it certainly seems to have done you good, Gwyn. Good for you!
